Gretchen E. Moore | Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky
Gretchen E. Moore is a shareholder and Vice President at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. She has been with the firm since 2004 and also serves as chair of the firm’s e-Discovery Group and co-chair of the firm’s Investigations Group. Ms. Moore’s practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, independent investigations and municipal law with an emphasis on contracts, employment, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and land use and other real estate disputes.
Ms. Moore practices in state and federal courts, before administrative boards, and in arbitration and mediation proceedings. She represents municipalities in land use, zoning, ordinance and contract matters, as well as Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and Right-to-Know Law matters.
Ms. Moore is actively involved in the firm’s legal technology research and development, particularly in the areas of data management and discovery. As a certified eDiscovery specialist, Ms. Moore also served as the Secretary of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Women in eDiscovery for three years. In 2022 she was named as an eDiscovery Special Master by the United States District Court and the Western District of Pennsylvania Board of Judges.
Before entering law school, Ms. Moore was a research associate at the Urban Institute, a Washington, D.C. think tank. She managed a variety of law-related projects, wrote dozens of publications and worked with government agencies, private companies and non-governmental organizations. Ms. Moore also spent a year with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, where she worked in the areas of education, environment, public safety, and unmet human needs.
Ms. Moore is a native of Vineland, New Jersey. She lives in South Fayette with her husband and their children.
Lydia A. Gorba | Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky
Lydia A. Gorba is an Associate Attorney with Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky practicing primarily in civil litigation. Lydia has experience handling a variety of matters, including personal injury, premises liability, real estate litigation, and insurance defense.
Lydia believes that building a relationship with each and every client is the necessary foundation to handling any type of case. She values communication and will not leave you wondering about the status of your case.
Lydia began her legal career at SMGG in the summer of 2016 as a Law Clerk. Upon graduating cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Ms. Gorba stepped into the role of Associate Attorney with SMGG.
While at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, she served as a Research Editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and was inducted into the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the Order of the Coif honor society, an honor bestowed upon those graduating in the top ten percent (10%) of the class.
Outside of the courtroom, Lydia enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her son, husband, and their rescue pups, Dolly and Hank. Lydia is a Cambria County native and currently resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
