Mian R. Wang | Greenberg Traurig, LLP
Mian focuses her practice on high-stakes business litigation. She represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in commercial and bankruptcy litigation. She has broad experience handling matters related to breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, preference claims, UCC secured transactions, negligence, wire fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices disputes.
Her practice covers multiple disciplines and industries, including education, health care, event management, start-up firms, financial institutions, and commercial finance and asset management firms. Prior to joining the firm, Mian served as a law clerk for the Honorable Alvin W. Thompson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She also worked in Delaware as a business litigator in a national firm where she represented clients on both state and federal matters.
In 2020, she was recognized by Boston Business Journal as a “40 under 40” honoree. Mian is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts, the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts, and the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Mian also volunteers her time as an educational counselor for her alma mater Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Sarah G. Kim | Massachusetts State Treasurer & Receiver General
Sarah is a Deputy Treasurer and General Counsel for the Office of the Massachusetts State Treasurer & Receiver General. As a Deputy Treasurer, Ms. Kim has general oversight of the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. As General Counsel, Ms. Kim manages the team that provides support to the Treasury and its affiliated agencies on a variety of legal issues.
Ms. Kim also advises senior staff on strategic policy, procurement, employment, and litigation issues. Before joining the Treasury, Ms. Kim was an Assistant Attorney General in the Fraud and Financial Crimes Division under Attorney General Martha Coakley. Prior to that, for ten years, Ms. Kim was an attorney in the litigation practice group of Bingham McCutchen LLP (now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP).
Ms. Kim has been a long-time supporter of a number of Boston-area community organization, including the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, the Boston Bar Association, and the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. Ms. Kim is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law and Dartmouth College.
Fatima Khan | Okta
Fatima Khan is Director, Corporate Counsel, Privacy and Product at Okta. Prior to joining Okta, she worked at various technology companies where she was responsible for the application of global law and managed company-wide privacy efforts, including as the Senior Director, Legal and Chief Privacy Officer at Demandbase and the Vice President, Legal at Airpush.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She is a licensed attorney in California and Texas and holds CIPP/US and CIPM certifications.
