Privacy and Cybersecurity:
Julia advises her clients on an array of privacy, cybersecurity, data breach, and data governance matters. She regularly assists clients with the design and development of privacy sensitive policies for the collection and use of personal data, incident response, information governance, and vendor management across the globe. Julia regularly advises businesses on the acquisition and sale of data, including through business combinations. More recently, she has helped her clients design and develop compliance programs to meet the requirements of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, New York Department of Financial Services Cybersecurity Regulations, California Consumer Privacy Act, and the evolving federal and state legal landscape.
Marketing and Promotions:
Julia advises clients in traditional marketing and advertising campaigns, as well as internet, mobile, social media, text message, and email marketing, telemarketing, and sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions. Much of her marketing practice is dedicated to assisting clients to navigate the complex digital advertising ecosystem and the use of emerging technologies. She routinely drafts and negotiates co-branding, sponsorships, commercial coventures, and other agreements associated with the marketing, and promotion of products and services. Her clients include brands, agencies, and technology providers.
Technology Transactions:
Julia also has significant experience assisting clients in drafting and negotiating their complex commercial contracts, particularly technology-centric agreements. She reviews and develops template agreements for both product and service providers and users.
Previous Work:
Prior to joining Arent Fox, Julia was a partner at an international law firm.
