This session covers the fundamentals of medical source statements under current CFR requirements, emphasizing strategic case analysis before form development. Practitioners will learn why generic forms fail and how to focus on specific limitations that actually win cases rather than relying on vocational witness cross-examination.
Theodore NorwoodThis session explores how to craft form questions that target winning limitations and engage physicians effectively. Attendees will learn to avoid overly restrictive statements, defend MSS against ALJ scrutiny using supportability and consistency frameworks, and leverage SSA’s own documentation methods to strengthen their cases.
Theodore NorwoodThis session addresses the Occupational Requirements Survey and its unique limitation categories that differ from traditional vocational analysis. Practitioners will also discover how to expand their evidence pool through nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and live testimony to maximize MSS impact.
