Mississippi CLE Requirements
CLE requirements for Mississippi attorneys.
Required credits
Mississippi attorneys are required to earn 12 credits, including 1 Ethics, Professional Responsibility, Professionalism, Malpractice Prevention, Substance Abuse, or Mental Health credit per year.
- Due date for CLE: Credits are due by July 31st.
- Reporting credits: All credits must be reported by August 15th.
Self-Study/On-Demand credits
Due to the continued issues concerning Covid-19, the Mississippi Supreme Court has ordered that the limit on CLE credit earned though online programs has been temporarily removed. For the 2022-2023 CLE reporting year, attorneys may complete their CLE obligations through online, webinars or live, in-person programs. This provision includes newly admitted lawyers who are to complete the program by July 31, 2023. These attorneys may also complete this program through online, webinars or live, in-person programs.
