Two assistants, four applications, one workday’s worth of tasks

Claude and ChatGPT are two powerful AI assistants, and both reach into the applications legal professionals live in — Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. This webinar shows how to work effectively with each, through live demonstrations showing both assistants in action on legal document examples. It opens with an overview of the two — and the differences between them.

The gains run across the whole desktop. In Word, summarize, draft, compare, edit, and format documents. In Outlook, draft and edit emails, schedule, and manage inbox items. In Excel, manage legal data, create reports, calculate data, and create charts. Create and edit PowerPoint presentations, perform basic legal research, and see how both assistants work with PDFs and different file types to extract data.

Output quality tracks prompt quality, so the program builds effective prompting skills — tips and best practices — and maps where Claude and ChatGPT differ, so the right assistant lands on the right task. Attendees leave knowing what each one can do, how they answer questions and make recommendations, and how to ask.

Mr. Brody earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Penn State University in University Park, PA in 1979. After he began teaching computer software courses, he enrolled in La Salle University's Masters of Business Administration program, specializing in Management Information Systems, earning his MBA in 1993.

Recognition & Leadership

Besides technology, Craig's passion extends to the fields of American history and Freemasonry. He served as leader of his Masonic Lodge, Columbia Lodge No. 91 in Philadelphia, in 2018. He currently serves as the representative of his lodge to the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. As a member of the PA Masonic Speakers Bureau, Craig makes presentations across Pennsylvania on early American Freemasons. He leads tours of the Masonic Temple of Philadelphia and Independence Hall in Philadelphia as a volunteer Park Ranger for the National Park Service.

Professional Involvement

Conducts and facilitates in person and online training workshops for professionals in the fields of Accounting, Business, and Law. Conducts workshops, classes and consulting services for the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School and Penn Carey Law School.

Alabama

Requirements

The Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission requires attorneys to complete 12 credits, including 1 ethics, by December 31 of each year. All credits must be reported by February 15 of the following year. A maximum of 12 credits, including 1 ethics credit, may be carried over for 1 year only.  

Formats

  • Attorneys can earn unlimited “live” credit through live seminars, live webcasts, and co-sponsored locations with MyLAWCLE-Alabama approved programs
  • Attorneys are limited to 6 credits per compliance period of “online” programs through MyLAwCLE On-Demand programs
