This course provides federal employees with the essential information they need to make informed decisions before retirement. Participants will learn how to calculate their CSRS or FERS pension, maximize Social Security benefits, and understand their TSP options, along with all they need to know about Federal Employee Health Benefits in retirement. The course also explains eligibility for the FERS Supplement and the 10% pension bonus available to certain retirees. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how their federal benefits work in retirement and the “how to” of starting the retirement process once ready.

Requirements
The Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission requires attorneys to complete 12 credits, including 1 ethics, by December 31 of each year. All credits must be reported by February 15 of the following year. A maximum of 12 credits, including 1 ethics credit, may be carried over for 1 year only.
