1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ESTSince the implementation of SSR 24-3p, I have appealed approximately 75 cases to the Appeals Council. I have not received a remand yet that deals directly with SSR 24-3p, but I have gained some useful insight on how the Appeals Council is dealing with vocational issues since the implementation of SSR 24-3p. Not to spoil the ending, but they are not really addressing problematic VE testimony in the cases I appealed. Instead, they are focusing on medical issues and have even issued some favorable decisions. The presentation will cover a case study across a wide range of age categories, past relevant work, and target issues at the Appeals Council. I also have some that are currently pending and hope to have those decisions before the conference.

Requirements
The Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission requires attorneys to complete 12 credits, including 1 ethics, by December 31 of each year. All credits must be reported by February 15 of the following year. A maximum of 12 credits, including 1 ethics credit, may be carried over for 1 year only.
