Why Attend

Why this
program matters

Understanding hospitality management agreements is essential because these long-term contracts govern billions in hotel assets, create complex fiduciary exposure, and remain the most litigated instruments in the industry.
47%
of branded hotel rooms globally, roughly 5.9 million rooms, are operated by third-party managers rather than owners, making management agreement structure critical to civil counsel.
$50B
in hotel property management and revenue systems tied to operator agreements is projected by 2033, signaling explosive contract volume and attendant legal exposure for civil practitioners.
1668
California Civil Code section 1668 was reinforced in April 2025, invalidating hospitality management agreement clauses that limit liability for intentional wrongdoing or fiduciary breach.
89%
of rooms in upscale branded hotels are operated by third-party managers, concentrating fiduciary and agency disputes in this tier and driving demand for sophisticated contract counsel.
