Course Overview

When the Judgment Outlasts the Debtor's Paper Trail

A money judgment is worth only as much as the assets a creditor can find and reach and debtors have never had more ways to disappear, both physically and financially. Bankruptcy filings climbed 13% in the year ending March 2025 while adversary proceedings rose 31%, and 55 million American adults now hold cryptocurrency that moves across wallets and chains faster than traditional discovery can follow. Collection attorneys, restructuring counsel, and judgment creditors are exposed the moment a debtor relocates without notice or shifts value into digital assets, yet every skip trace decision carries FDCPA liability against a backdrop of 207,000 CFPB complaints. This class delivers compliant skip tracing checklists, behavioral and License Plate Recognition location techniques, forensic asset tracing through primary and secondary source discovery, and a cryptocurrency recovery playbook spanning blockchain fundamentals, IRS reporting tools, obstruction defenses, and UCC Article 12 control over digital collateral. Attendees leave able to locate evasive debtors, trace concealed value, and enforce judgments that would otherwise stay uncollected.

Key topics that will be covered

What will you learn

Attorneys will learn modern skip tracing methods, human behavior analysis for license plate recognition, forensic accounting for asset tracing, and cryptocurrency recovery strategies.
