Why Attend

Why this
program matters

Understanding rapid response immigration law is critical for attorneys because the current crisis involving unlawful detention and due process violations requires immediate legal intervention to protect constitutional rights.
97%
Federal judges ruled in favor of detained immigrants in roughly 97% of decided habeas cases in 2025, representing 350 wins out of 362 cases across approximately 160 judges.
75%
ICE detention population increased by over 75% in one year, rising from roughly 40,000 at the start of 2025 to a record high by late 2025.
10.5x
Detained immigrants with legal representation were ten-and-a-half times more likely to succeed in their cases than those without attorneys.
700+
Immigrant ARC trained and mobilized more than 700 volunteers to observe and record events across 82 courtrooms throughout New York State as part of their rapid response court observation project.
