What will you learn

Attorneys will learn the legal framework governing service animals and emotional support animals across multiple federal laws including the ADA, Fair Housing Act, and Air Carrier Access Act.

Different laws apply: ADA for employment and public spaces, FHA for housing, ACAA for airlines.
ESA Requirements
Emotional support animals require no training but must enhance quality of life under the FHA.
Documentation
Housing providers may request reliable documentation from a treating healthcare professional when need is not obvious.
State Law Conflicts
State service animal laws frequently fall below the floor established by the ADA.
Loper Bright Impact
Final regulations are now persuasive authority to courts, creating both risks and opportunities for disability rights.
