Course Overview

You don’t need to be a gamer to represent game clients — you need to know where to begin

2026-01-07 13:00:00

The video game industry continues to grow year over year. So does the need for counsel familiar with the specific issues game developers and publishers face. This program gives the non-game lawyer an in-depth analysis of the concepts and nuances that make the industry unique.

Every stage raises its own questions. Studio formation comes first. Intellectual property follows the game from concept to registration to enforcement. Game contracts put clients on both sides of typical deals, each side with its own negotiation points. eSports, gambling, and privacy add industry issues of their own.

You walk out with the guide the newcomer to games practice needs. Formation issues you can spot. An intellectual property path you can carry from concept through enforcement. Negotiation points for clients on both sides of a typical deal. And a working read on eSports, gambling, and privacy issues.
