This CLE-accredited session is specifically designed for lawyers to provide them with tools to help manage the high levels of stress + anxiety that are endemic to the profession. During this session attendees will be introduced to the benefits of mindfulness and be given the building blocks for sustainable, tangible methods for managing stress and increasing mental wellness. The program does this by discussing the physical and emotional manifestations of stress and how mindful meditation can be a tool to effectively manage these ailments. In addition, the session focuses on how mindful meditation can help lawyers hone the skills that are so pivotal in the profession including effective collaboration, team building, active listening and sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Darrell Jones is the head of Chill’s teacher training program and a certified meditation instructor. Darrell is Chill personified – his approach and calming presence is appreciated by customers and staff alike. Darrell graduated from Kalamazoo College with a BA in Music and holds a Masters in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute of Consciousness Studies. His inspiration comes from the realization that in all philosophy, science, religions and psychology, there is some element of meditation or contemplation to stimulate change and growth.
