Kymberly Kochis_myLawCLEKymberly Kochis | Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP

Kym counsels’ insurers on a wide range of litigation and corporate governance matters. Kym’s extensive knowledge of the insurance industry provides for deft representation of insurers opposing complex class action litigation. She regularly handles matters involving unfair trade practices, consumer fraud, antitrust and policy coverage issues, as well as complex breach of contract and tort claims.

Kym joined Eversheds Sutherland (US) from an international law firm in New York, where she was a partner and co-chair of the insurance litigation and regulatory practice. She previously was an attorney at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.

Earlier in her career, Kym gained significant experience in the London Market during a secondment with a leading Lloyd’s of London syndicate. There, she was responsible for all aspects of the syndicate’s major claims, which included directors and officers (D&O), professional liability, property and marine claims. Her duties also involved providing US compliance and regulatory advice, responding to Department of Insurance inquiries, and collaborating with the syndicate’s underwriters to develop US policy wordings.

Jocelyn advises domestic and multinational clients on an array of construction, business, and commercial litigation matters.

Jocelyn’s experience includes litigating a wide range of complex construction and commercial disputes, such as claims for delay, loss of productivity, and incomplete or defective work, in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of New York. Additionally, Jocelyn regularly represents clients in a variety of alternative dispute resolution processes, including in arbitrations and mediations.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Jocelyn was an associate in the New York office of an international law firm, as well as at a boutique commercial litigation firm.

 

Alexander P. Fuchs_myLawCLEAlexander P. Fuchs | Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP

Alex counsels’ companies in class action and commercial litigation in federal and state courts across the country, with a focus on advising insurance companies on complex, large-scale litigation matters. He focuses his practice on defending challenges to insurers’ business practices in class action cases and coverage disputes.

He also regularly assists clients with the defense of unfair trade practices, consumer fraud, complex breach of contract and tort claims.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), Alex was an associate in the insurance litigation group at an international law firm in New York. His previous experience includes counseling London market insurers in the defense of complex product liability, aviation and coverage actions.

 

Thomas A. Spring_myLawCLEThomas A. Spring | Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP

Thomas advises clients on their complex business and commercial litigation matters, focusing on written advocacy to effectuate client goals. He represents clients in the pre-trial, trial and appellate phases of their cases. His work covers a wide array of subject matters, from professional liability and antitrust to insurance and contract disputes.

He is an active member of the firm’s pro bono practice.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Thomas clerked on the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Thomas also previously worked as a real estate finance associate at a national law firm. Thomas is admitted to the State Bar of Maryland. He has submitted his application to the Georgia Bar. His work is supervised by Georgia Bar members.
