Program Summary

This program provides a practical framework for paralegals and litigation support professionals to apply the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) in real-world scenarios. From the moment an incident occurs, paralegals are often on the front lines of the discovery process, tasked with preserving critical evidence, coordinating data collection, and ensuring compliance.

This presentation will explore how to implement the EDRM’s stages identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, production, and presentation in a rapid-response environment. Attendees will gain actionable strategies to manage discovery efficiently, collaborate effectively with counsel and vendors, and minimize risk in the early stages of litigation or pre-litigation response. Using real-world case examples, the webinar will highlight how timely action and informed decision-making can improve outcomes and protect client interests.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • EDRM and paralegal roles
  • Rapid response and early case management
  • Applying EDRM stages in practice
