Program Summary

Artificial intelligence (AI), including Generative AI, machine learning, and advanced data discovery tools, is rapidly reshaping the legal landscape. This session will provide attorneys and legal professionals with a comprehensive look at the transformative potential of these technologies across various facets of legal work.

Participants will examine how AI-powered tools are being applied in legal process management, streamlining tasks such as contract analysis, e-discovery, regulatory compliance, legal research, and case strategy. From automating document review to enhancing decision-making through predictive analytics, AI offers opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy

At the same time, the integration of AI into legal and business workflows comes with significant challenges and ethical considerations. This course will also address the limitations of these technologies, including data bias, lack of transparency in algorithmic decision-making, and potential impacts on client confidentiality and professional responsibility.

  • Basics of LLMs and "Artificial Intelligence" technology (e.g., GPT models, BERT, etc.).
  • The emerging role of AI and LLMs in law to enable business
  • Benefits of AI for day-to-day legal work and its transformative capability
  • Core use cases in legal workflows (litigation, transactions and regulatory)
