With the downturn of COVID, consumers are focused on finding out of home experiences. With many states now providing avenues from in-person and onsite cannabis consumption, there are now new opportunities to monetize the lifestyle and brand aspects of cannabis consumers.

This discussion will explore how and where onsite cannabis consumption is now legal and look at expanding regulatory opportunities on the horizon. The discussion will also cover some of the major business and economic hurdles with current onsite consumption business models and explore exciting ways in which businesses can seek monetization and branding opportunities while working with non-plant touching businesses.

Today, nothing is more complex than the burgeoning cannabis industry where he has developed an unmatched legal expertise. Bryan speaks regularly on industry-related topics and educates operators and other professionals, including attorneys and accountants. His clients enjoy access to his deep network of industry experts. Bryan’s role as a civil litigator for over fifteen years informs his deftness at navigating potential litigation issues for every type of entrepreneurial venture.

Bryan likes to solve puzzles, not just at work, but at home relaxing with his wife, and dog Jax. He also plays piano and guitar, and is eager to get back to outdoor adventures, sports, and travel.

Nick Rosenberg is a partner at Nolan Heimann, heads up its Washington, D.C. office and is the head of its music department. After having spent the bulk of his career working in the corporate departments of Amlaw 100 law firms, in 2019 Nick launched Rosenberg Law, LLC where he served various clients in the music, television and digital content businesses, as well as continued to represent companies at various stages.

Nick works extensively with recording artists, music producers, record labels and other stakeholders in the music industry. He will also works in other areas of the entertainment business, including in immersive entertainment. Nick was named as one Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers in 2021. In addition to representing his clients, Nick enjoys talking to high school and college students about music law and the entertainment business in general. He is a frequent speaker at SXSW and a contributor to several podcasts including, seminal hip hop podcast, “Juan Epstein” which is hosted by his brother and longtime client, TV and radio personality, Peter Rosenberg.

When not working or spending time with his wife and 14-year-old twins, he’s making his own music, using an MPC Live loaded with sample packs created by his producer clients. Nick says that not only is music production a creative outlet for him, but that “understanding the way people in my business actually work on a day-to-day basis allows me to ask the right questions. How legal issues are handled in creative industries is frequently dictated by creative process. [Trying to be] creative myself gives me a perspective that my clients value.”
