Many employers have devoted well-meaning focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. But are their initiatives resulting in unrecognized implicit bias? During this seminar, experienced employment litigator Heather Sager of Perkins Coie will share her observations regarding how well-intentioned workplace programs, the use of artificial intelligence in hiring, and other facially-neutral strategies being widely used in today’s business environment may, in fact, create additional risk of discriminatory impact to applicants and employees. With practical examples and tips for mitigating such risk, this session will give us a useful framework to help effectively pursue a respectful, equitable workplace.
